Festivals provide the perfect excuse for getting family and friends together over the winter months.  Here’s four fabulous food and wine events on during the last two weeks of June to tantalise your taste buds.

F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic Hawke’s Bay

Simunovich Olive Estate Annual Harvest Tour & Lunch

Take a guided tour through Simunovich’s olive grove and factory to learn about their award winning extra virgin olive oil then indulge in a new season olive oil tasting before enjoying a rustic two course lunch at Bracu Pavilion. Sunday 21 June – bookings essential, go to Eventfinda to purchase your tickets.

A Midwinter Affair - Martinborough

This year 85 stalls will line Martinborough Square for the third year of this successful night market, showcasing the best of Wairarapa's food, wine and artisan crafts on Saturday 20 June from 3pm-7pm.  With loads of other activities including annual olive grove openings and a gigantic book fair, why not make a weekend of it.

Queenstown Winter Festival

It’s so much more than food and wine but couldn’t resist including the Queenstown Winter Festival.  In its 41st year, it’s New Zealand’s biggest celebration of winter.  Ten days of street parties, fireworks, local and international acts and plenty of family fun so why not join more than forty thousand people 19 - 28 June to celebrate winter.
