De la terre winery was established in 2005 as a boutique winery and while the grapes are grown at Hills Estate, Kaye and Tony Prichard’s vision was to create somewhere to share their love of wine and wine making.
Indulge in wine tastings and learn about wine making techniques then enjoy farm-style platters in the cafe or garden. The winery is on the Napier-Taihape Road, 20 minutes drive from Taradale or Hastings through scenic countryside.
The winery and café are open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm or other times by appointment. Closed July and August.
